Ingredients for Potato Kosthu:
Potato-2(Chopped) Onion-1(Chopped) Tomato-2(Chopped) Green Chilly-2(Chopped Vertically) Bengal Gram(Split)-1tsp Black Gram-1tsp Asafoetida Powder-2Pinch Turmeric Powder-2Pinch Sesame Oil-2tsp Mustard-1tsp Coriander Powder-1tsp Idly Flour-1Big Spoon Coriander-2Bunch Curry Leaves-2Bunch Salt- as Needed
Procedure to make Potato Kosthu:
1. Heat sesame oil in a pressure cooker, add mustard, black gram, split bengal gram and let to splutter. Then add green chilly, chopped onion, tomato, potato and fry well. After that add asafoetide, turmeric powder, chilly powder, coriander powder, salt and sauté well. 2. When vegetables fried well, pour 3 cup of water and cover the cooker and allow 3 whistles and remove from flame. After few minutes open the cooker and put 1 big spoon of idly flour, mix well and again boil for few minutes and remove from flame. Now garnish with coriander leaves and curry leaves. Potato kosthu is ready to taste. |
