Vasanth Vaseegaran is a chennai born Software Engineer living in the USA with his wife and daughter. When he decided to compose a Tamil folk/Kutthu number he knew that it had to be an unconventional yet something that everyone could enjoy irrespective of the language. That is how the the concept and the song "Nadanthathu Nallathuke" was born. Nadanthathu Nallathuke is a foot tapping tamil song mocking the current trend in the Indian film industry.

This song was recorded and shot in New Jersey, USA. When he explained the concept to a very well known and extremely talented Sumitra Ramjee (a playwriter) it just took an hour for her to pen down the lyrics. Balaji Prakash Rao and Super Singer fame Krishna Sridharan have sung this number. Vasanth Vaseegaran inherited the musical gene from his  paternal roots. His  father being his first guru taught him the fundamentals of Indian classical  and Western music. He was nurtured by ace music director C.Sathya into a  fine keyboardist that he is today. He also learnt formal carnatic music from  Thiruvaiyar P. Sekar, a disciple of Dr. M.  Balamurali Krishna. Vasanth blends various music styles to create harmonious and soulful compositions. His love for native instruments, harmonies and a deep knowledge of Indian music and western music helps him to experiment and fuse them effortlessly. Vasanth has done background scores for a handful of short films and musical arrangements for one of the top selling Bengali album (Rhim Jim). 

He has done the arrangement/orchestration for the songs composed by Aninda  Bose and Avik Chaudhuri for a Bengal feature film (Tiyasha) directed by Animesh Ray. He has collaborated with leading playback singers Sunidhi Chauhan and ShaanVasanth Vaseegaran is a very well known name across USA and has been playing keyboard for more than 25 years. He accompanies eminent musicians from India and in the U.S for global fusion and Indian light music concerts. He has been touring with Dr.L.Subramaniam, a renowned violinist along with Larry  Coryell(leading Jazz guitarist), Corky Siegel( Blues Harmonica player), Jon  Weber(Jazz Pianist) , Jerrry Watts( Jazz Bassist in LA) , Russ Miller(Drummer  in American idol). He has performed scores of Indian light music concerts since childhood and has played for Dr.K.J.Yesudas, Kavita Krishnamurti, Mano,  Sujatha, Vijay Yesudas, Mahathi, Harish Raghavendra, Devan, Shweta Mohan, Charulatha Mani, Anwesha Dutta. A dream instilled by his father motivated him to become a composer and he is chasing his dreams today.
