விஜே புரொடக்ஷன்ஸ் தயாரிப்பில் புதுமுக இயக்குனர் விஜய் வில்வாகிரிஷ் இயக்கத்தில் சுந்தர்மூர்த்தி இசையில் உருவாகிவரும் படம் “அவம்”.
இப்படத்திற்கு சிறப்பு சேர்க்கும் வகையில் “உலகநாயகன்” பத்ம்பூஷன் டாக்டர். கமல்ஹாசன் அவர்கள் ஒரு பாடல் பாடியுள்ளார்.
இந்த பாடல் ஒரு இளைஞனின் தனிமையையும் கவலையையும் உணர்ச்சிப்பூர்வமாக வெளிபடுத்தும் பாடல் என்பதால் பாடகர் இப்பாடலின் வரிகளை உணர்ந்து அதன் உண்மையை வெளிபடுத்தும் வகையில் பாடவேண்டியதிருந்தது.
உலகநாயகன் வரிகளின் தன்மையை உணர்ந்து தன் குரலின் வாயிலாக பாடலுக்கு உயிர் கொடுத்துள்ளார் என்றால் அது மிகையாகாது.
மதன் கார்க்கியின் கருத்துமிக்க வரிகள் இன்றை இளையதலைமுறையினருக்கு ஒரு எடுத்துக்காட்டாக இருக்கும். படத்தின் கதை : சாதாரண வாழ்க்கையை அனுபவித்து கொண்டிருக்கும் கார்த்திக், ஒரு விளம்பர நிறுவனத்தில் பணிபுரிந்து வருகிறான். அவனது அலுவலகத்தில் பணிபுரியும் ஒரு பெண்ணை சந்தித்ததும், அந்த பெண்ணால் அவன் வாழ்க்கையில் நடக்கும் எதிர்பாரா சம்பங்கள், அந்த சம்பவத்தால் நிகமும் நிகழ்வுகளே படத்தின் கதை கரு. பல புதுமுகங்களுடன் அனுபவமான நடிகர்கள் நடிக்கும் இப்படத்தில், கௌரவ் நாயகனாக நடிக்க, கன்னடநாட்டை சேர்ந்த காவ்யா ஷேட்டி நாயகியாக நடிக்கிறார். விவேக் லெஸ்தர் உத்துப் படத்தில் வில்லனாக நடிக்க, கார்த்திக் வில்வாகிரிஷ், காஜல் வசிஷ்ட், எம்.எஸ்.பாஸ்கர், அனுபமா குமார் மற்றும் பலர் நடித்துள்ளனர். |

| KAMAL HAASAN sings for AVAM | |||||
"Avam" is a new tamil Feature film produced by VJ Productions, currently in the final stages of production. The film is written and directed by debutant Vijay Vilvakrish,who has assisted Mr.Rajeev Menon and Mrs.Latha menon for over three years in various pan India television advertisements. Madhan karky has penned the lyrics to four lively songs set to tune by debutant Sundaramoorthy KS. This particular song sung by Padma Bhushan Dr. Kamal Haasan has been composed in the rock genre, we have tried to make this a song that the youth would relate to.the lyrics have also been written keeping this in mind, the lyricist has infused novel words and ideas not attempted before in tamil songs. A rock genre in Kamal haasan's voice will elevate the song to another level all together. This song required the singer to emote and express the pain,the helplessness,the guilt and frustration of the character and Kamal Haasan's voice did the magic. Avam is a youth comic thriller movie following the life of a young urban boy and the twists and turns that take him for an unexpected ride.The protagonist Karthik is an ordinary chennai boy working in an advertising firm. The story takes off when he meets a young girl who joins his office but has a dark history and has intentions beyond karthiks knowledge and in turn changes his life forever. Avam has a young and vibrant group of artists debuting along with some veteran character artists of the tamil film industry.The lead is played by Gaurav and is paired with Kavya Shetty who is making her debut in tamil crossing the borders from sandalwood.Vivek Lester Uthup plays the part of the villain in the movie and Karthik Vilvakrish will be seen as the protagonists sidekick along with Kajal Vashisht. M.S.Bhaskar and Livingston have formidable roles in the movie and Ms.Anupama Kumar plays the heros mother. Avam is also backed by a strong and brilliant set of technicians.The camera is being handled by the co- cinematographer of "raja rani”, Kugan S Palani, while "moodar koodam" fame Athiappan Siva takes care of the editing.
