Ingredients for Katapa : Potato - 2 (Cooked and Peeled), Onion - 1 (Vertically Chopped), Bay Leaves - 2, Salt - 1 tsp, Oil - 2 Tbsp, Shreded Coconut - 2 Tbsp, Ginger - Small Piece, Garlic Cloves - 4, Dry Gram - 1 Tbsp, Green Chilies - 4, Cinnamon - 1, Cloves - 4, Aniseeds - 2 tsp, Cardamom - 2. Method to make Katapa : 1. First grind the green chilies, aniseeds, ginger, garlic, cloves, cinnamon, dry grams, shreded coconut finely in a mixi. Heat oil in a frying pan then add cardamom, bay leaves allow it to fry well. Then add chopped onions and allow it to fry well. 2. After onions cooked add the cooked and smashed potatoes along with them. And allow it to boil for 3 minutes. Then added the masala paste along with them. Then pour some water and add salt along with them. Then boil it for some minutes. Katapa is ready to serve. |
